Pashupat Yoga Nepal was established with the idea of bringing Yogic awareness to individual lives and communities.Yoga is the science of right living and should be incorporated in daily life. A lifestyle embracing yogic principles is known to bring unity of the mind and body. At Pashupat Yoga, we believe strength and growth comes with physical, mental, and spiritual disciplines achieved through continuous effort. Our goal is to train individuals in these disciplines so they may better connect to their spiritual essence and find balance in their everyday lives.
Pashupat Yoga Nepal, previously known as “Ananda Yoga” was founded in 1993 as part of the Satyananda Yoga in India which boasts 1000 centers around the world. We follow the teachings method of Swami Satyananda Saraswati who synthesized the essence of yoga, making the wisdom of the ancient sages easily accessible to beginner and the more experienced alike. At our Ashram, we offer teachings on all aspects of yoga and meditation including yogic studies, Mantra, Hawan, Kirtan, and Shatkarma. We also offer sacred ritual practices. Our longterm yoga program is popular among advanced Yogis who go on to start their own Yoga practice.
Over two decades Pashupat Yoga has served local and international guests including those from Asia, Europe and America. We welcome curious individuals from all walks of life wherever they are in their journey of self-actualization. Our Ashram is open to individuals of any caste, religion, gender identity, physical ability, or nationality. Our Ashram is situated in the small village of Chandragiri hills, 2 kilometers south from Kathmandu city, with easy access to basic necessities. The clean air of the hills, the quiet space, and the stunning views of the Himalayas provide the most perfect natural setting for the practice of yoga.
